Ideal Applications:
- Paper-faced or mesh-backed mosaics
- All types of ceramic tiles (quarry tiles, single-fired and klinker tiles)
- Installation on conventional renders, cement mortar walls, concrete slabs, and reinforced floating slabs
- Suitable for gypsum and anhydrite screeds when treated with an appropriate primer
Technical Characteristics:
- Composed of cement, fine-grade synthetic resins, and special additives
- Forms an easily trowellable mortar with excellent bonding strength and low slump
- Allows vertical application without sagging, even with heavy tiles
- Hardens without noticeable shrinkage, providing exceptional adhesion to construction materials
Recommendations: Mix Kerabond T with Isolastic instead of water for enhanced performance (achieving C2ES2 classification) in the following situations:
- Installation on pre-cast or cast concrete structures
- Large-size tiles
- Over underfloor heating systems
- Glass mosaic installation
- Stable and moisture-proof stone materials

Application Procedure:
- Substrate Preparation: • Ensure surfaces are cured, mechanically strong, and free from loose particles • Allow proper curing time for cementitious substrates • Treat gypsum and anhydrite screeds with Primer G or Eco Prim T Plus • Use Primer S for areas subject to high humidity
- Mixing: • Blend Kerabond T with clean water (26-29 parts water per 100 parts adhesive) • Mix to achieve a homogeneous, lump-free paste • Let stand for 5-10 minutes, then remix before use • Workable for at least 8 hours after mixing
- Application: • Apply with a notched trowel, ensuring at least 65-70% coverage for walls or light foot traffic areas • Use 100% coverage for heavy traffic, outdoor applications, or total immersion • For mosaics up to 5×5 cm, use MAPEI No. 4 square-notched trowel • For normal ceramic wall tiles, use MAPEI No. 5 V-notched trowel • For floors and irregular surfaces, use MAPEI No. 6 V-notched trowel
- Installing Tiles: • Apply tiles with firm pressure to ensure good contact • Adjust tiles within 45 minutes of installation • Protect newly installed tiles from rain and freezing for at least 24 hours • Shield from direct sunlight for 5-7 days after application
Grouting and Sealing:
- Grout wall joints after 4-8 hours
- Grout floor joints after 24 hours
- Use MAPEI cementitious or epoxy grouts
- Seal expansion joints with specific MAPEI sealants
Set to Light Foot Traffic:
- Allow approximately 24 hours before permitting light foot traffic
Ready for Use:
- Surfaces are fully ready for use after 14 days
Cleaning:
- Clean tools with water
- Clean surfaces with a damp cloth shortly after installation
Consumption:
- Mosaics and small tiles: 2-3 kg/m²
- Medium-sized tiles: 4-5 kg/m²
- Large tiles and outdoor applications: > 6 kg/m²
- Spot-bonding insulating materials: 0.5-1.5 kg/m² depending on material
Packaging:
- 25 kg paper bags, available in white and grey
Storage:
- 12 months in original packaging stored in a normal environment
Safety Instructions:
- Contains cement, which can cause irritation and allergic reactions
- Wear protective gloves and goggles during application
- Avoid contact with eyes and skin
- Refer to the Safety Data Sheet for complete safety information
